About Lev 1
Lev Costume Warehouse was established in the 1950's by Lev Luria (RIP), a veteran of Ha'ohel Theater, and initially consisted of only seven costumes. In the 1960's the warehouse obtained dozens of costumes from various costume warehouse. In the 1970's the costume collection was passed on to Avraham Luria, Lev's son, a producer and manager. During this period Lev Costume Warehouse established a sewing workshop with only one seamstress, who mended and restored existing costumes. The Israeli Television, which started operating in the late 1970's, soon became Lev Costume Warehouse's major customer. In the 1980's the workshop expanded to include two seamstresses and a tailor, who vigorously created thousands of costumes for rent, to be used in films, shows and Purim parties. In the 1990's the number of different costumes was only exceeded by the number of customers
